The Vanessa Marie “Honey” Malone Murder Movement & Mobilization Has Began: How The Young Woman’s Friends Launched A Campaign To Find Those Responsible For Her Murder

The Police say they have no leads in a gripping murder case that left a beautiful Stone Mountain teen shot to death in an apartment building by gun toting thugs during a home invasion. Many have cast doubt on the stories offered by the teen’s friends who survived the horrific ordeal, and other friends of the woman have taken matters into their own hands. One of Malone’s close friends, Keah Clayton launched a Facebook page to help police find the teen’s killers. A Twitter hashtag #JusticeForHoney has been also created. The Facebook website has reached over 122,000 likes in just a weeks time, launching the teen’s tragic story into a viral stratosphere on the Internet, and also drawing interest from readers from all over the world. This grassroots advocacy by young people is simply incredible. In the “Stop Snitching” generation, rarely do we see these kind of proactive measures taking in criminal cases of any kind, and more in particular a potential drug related murder case. People normally don’t want to get involved out of fear of retribution from violent criminals, and others within our youth align with a street code which prohibits any interaction with police what so ever. Perhaps in the Stone Mountain case at least, youth have overcome the stigmatization of labels such as “Snitch” or “Rat”. It seems that finding those responsible for killing the pretty teen has taken priority over the normal social code hindering criminal investigations of this nature. It’s clear that our children in Georgia and other surrounding areas are no longer afraid, and willing to stand united for justice in a senseless murder case that look the life of a promising young woman. The Malone killing sparked only local media coverage, but with the efforts of just a few people, her murder has now drawn international attention with TEAMNESSA & TEAMHONEY T-shirts launching a movement to find the teen’s killers, and others offering to fill orders for apparel advocating the young woman’s story. Friends have also planned to meet for a mobilization effort to hand out flyers about the teen’s killing. It’s save to say that the “Honey” movement has been born, and the teen’s killers most certainly will have a very short stint on the run. People are talking about this case and hopefully someone will come forward with information leading to the arrest and subsequent conviction of those responsible for this horrible crime. The woman’s mom Flora King Malone, responded to a post I placed on her daughter’s R.I.P. Honey Facebook page stating “Those who know what happened are not talking, The whole story has not came out, all that is out, stinks. The robbery? Was anything taken besides my daughters LIFE???”, and confirming that even the teen’s own family has serious doubt about details offered by the survivors of the alleged robbery resulting in “Honey’s” murder. The Malone family can rest assured that they are not alone in this quest for justice. With the outpouring of support and concern continuing to grow within the public, perhaps a new trend in the way the American Society responds to the senseless killing of our children has also been born. Described as a social butterfly by those who knew her best, Vanessa Marie “Honey” Malone was slain in a hail of gunfire by heartless cowards for no reason, while others mysteriously survived, and apparently have failed helping authorities piece together what actually happened. My message to our young people embarked upon this course toward justice, keep talking, keep advocating, and don’t ever have fear to do the right thing. Justice for “Honey” Now!

This story breaks my heart. They should just come forth. They sleep better at night. No one deserves to loose a child or a sister like this.

I pray every day that they will find the animal that took this sweet childs’ life. It will come to pass that they will be caught, soon and very soon.
